Project MunchMunch #001 Shrimp Linguine

JR and I attempts to cook on our monthsary. It was really fun heehee

We searched for recipes in the net and he “bumped” with the recipe below from a forum. So, we decided to try out Shrimp Linguine and a chicken recipe as well.

But while we were picking the ingredients we need in the grocery, we decided to just prepare one recipe (cause we might not be able to finish it even if we share it to his sister or my siblings ^^,). So, we ended up with Shrimp Linguine.

The preparing and cooking part is easy but having two very youthful people cooking will make a 30 minute recipe into an hour and a half of pranking *ehem* slicing *ehem* cooking… More joking around *ehem* then back to cooking and “kicking a–” of unwanted visitor in the kitchen (^.^)/

So here is the result of our first Project MunchMunch and some of our pics as well heehee

For those who like it spicy and hot (like me :-p), you can add crushed red pepper while the pasta and cream is hot.

Sharing the recipe here but will post the forum site where we got it if I manage to find it.

1 pound linguine pasta
cooked and drained
1/2 cup butter
2 cups heavy whipping cream
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 cup grate Parmesan cheese
1/3 cup pesto
1 pound large shrimp – peeled

In large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat; stir in the cream and pepper.

Cook, stirring constantly, for 6 to 8 minutes or until hot.

Add the grated parmesan cheese, stirring until thoroughly mixed.

Stir in the pesto sauce and cook for 3 to 5 minutes, until thickened.

Add the shrimp and cook until they turn pink, about 5 minutes.

Serve over hot linguine.
